After two years of war and horrendous atrocities, the Tigrayan People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and Ethiopian government have reached a settlement, including that the TPLF will disarm within 30 days and recognize that the government is legitimate. The TPLF has stolen huge amounts of aid for Ethiopia, broken two unilateral ceasefires, and attempted to divide and conquer using ethnic disputes in the region – all supported by the United States.
Hermela Aregawi, Ethiopian-American journalist of Tigrayan descent & organizer with #NoMore Movement, sheds light on what this settlement means now and in the coming days.
