Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has hailed the Syrian nation for remaining steadfast during the years-long war in the Arab country. The leader was speaking with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, here in the capital Tehran.

Tim Anderson says the amount of energy that the US and Israel spend to damage the alliance between Syria and Iran, signifies its importance.
