Chinese President Xi Jinping met with President Biden last week, at Biden’s request, and it went far longer than anticipated. While Biden reaffirmed official support for the One China policy after several recent bellicose remarks about Taiwanese succession, the meeting was likely not a shift toward peace from the United States.
That’s the view of scholar and Pivot to Peace organizer KJ Noh.
