In response to israel airstrikes on the Syrian Golan Heights and Dumair in the Damascus countryside, a Syrian surface-to-air missile landed near Israel’s top-secret Dimona nuclear facility in the Negev desert, long rumored to house part of israels undeclared nuclear arsenal.
This incident comes barely a week after Israel sabotaged Iran’s nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz. Israel has illegally occupied the Syrian Golan Heights since 1967 and conducts illegal bombings inside Syria almost on a weekly basis. Israel admits that its air defense systems failed to intercept the Syrian S-200 / SA-5 rocket which landed near Dimona in the early hours on Thursday April 22nd, 2021.
