Why is Washington Backing Violent Mobs in Thailand?

US-backed protests in Thailand have grown increasingly violent as attendance dwindles in the streets. They now make open death threats on US-based social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter with no consequences – backed fully by the US, the Western media, and with their calls for violence (and acts of violence) omitted from Western reporting.

The goal is to destabilize or overthrow Thailand’s government and institutions, denying China a prosperous partner to assist in its and Asia’s rise.

The US is backing similar movements across the rest of Asia in what could be described as a US-engineered “Asia Spring.”
