On the saddening anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini (R), the great leader who has revived the oppressed around the world, we cannot lose sight of one of his most prominent students, Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani. We are talking about an outstanding and inspiring soldier who graduated from a special revolutionary school and acquired quite important lessons, strategically and practically speaking, a soldier who spent his entire life, before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, assisting the oppressed righteous nations.
A leader of great faith
We do not exaggerate that Martyr Hajj Qassem is one of the miracles of Imam Khomeini’s revolution, both in its moral and practical dimensions. And what is meant by the moral dimension is that the martyr sincerely followed Imam Khomeini, relying on his strong connection with God, for he was one of the people of devotion, gratitude, reverence, and supplication. So, he was a believer in the divine extension above all else, loyal to God, working out of his sense of duty, and not to be praised, but rather out of his sense of moral, religious, and humanitarian responsibility.
Hardly ever perceived spirituality
He was humble and did not seek fame or positions. All the armies and western intelligence agencies have, undoubtedly, failed to perceive and address this high spirituality and its essence, and that, in addition to the eligibility and righteousness of the struggle, this spirituality was his basic weapon for achieving successive victories and legendary steadfastness in the face of the great empire, just as his comrade in struggle Martyr Hajj Imad Mughniyeh put it, that what “fights is the soul” and not the advanced military capabilities.
A dedicated Khomeinist
In the practical dimension, Hajj Qassem Soleimani learned from Imam Khomeini to read the developments accurately and study the enemy. He was conscious, solid, and did not retreat, no matter how great the sacrifices that cost him. Hajj Qassem, like Imam Khomeini, openly declared his rejection of the US arrogance and his support for the oppressed in the face of the arrogant governments. He supported the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Bahrain, and thwarted the vicious plans of the Americans who wanted Iraq to be subject to them and do whatever they wanted in it – as Trump put it – like a “milk cow.” Besides, he extended a helping hand to them not only as an advisor, but rather as a brother, a father, a son of that nation, and a great advocate, at a time when the reactionary Persian Gulf regimes were supporting and financing terrorists, and sending them to kill women and children.
The martyr of Palestine
Concerning assisting the oppressed of Palestine, he stressed that neither this righteous cause should be forgotten, nor should the Palestinians be kept in a state of weakness, humiliation, surrender, and deceitful diplomatic –peaceful– ploys. Haj Qassem did everything that would empower the besieged Gaza enclave to stand firm in the face of the Zionist apartheid entity and the cheap dirty plots of the Persian Gulf monarchs. He had an important role in providing them with advanced capabilities and technical expertise that enable them to manufacture weapons, especially missiles, which made today the Palestinian resistance able to impose deterrence equations and achieve victory after victory in the face of Zionist aggression.
Comrade of Lebanon’s resistance
Regarding Lebanon, martyr Hajj Qassem has definitely frustrated Washington’s desire to deprive this country of one of the most important factors of its independence – that is the resistance – to be defenseless in front of the might of the illegitimate Zionist occupation entity, such as recommended by late Imam Khomeini. Thanks to him, the Lebanese resistance and its people have grown stronger day after day, and we never lose sight of his pivotal role during the July 2006 war as he was ready to provide all he could in terms of military and logistical support to strengthen the resistance. In 2006, despite the heavy bombardment, he put himself in serious threat touring the Lebanese territories, providing urgent military aid to enable the resistance to achieve victory, and financial aid to rebuild what the Zionist aggression had destroyed, and to prevent the enemy from realising what it failed to achieve through murder and terrorism.
The saviour of Syrian
Haji Qasim has always loved and served our West Asia peoples. The Afghan people saw his exceptional valour and courage on the battlefield and endangering his life for them. He was close to martyrdom for their sake, that is why they were ready to fight in his footsteps in Syria, where he would move with them from one front to another, as a humble leader and a ferocious soldier, to fight the Takfiri terrorists, then to celebrate with the brave Syrian Arab Army and the leaders of the resistance the victories that were being achieved, and stresses the intensification of their determinations to achieve more and more triumphs.
Inspiring the steadfast Yemenis
Martyr Soleimani has also contributed to inspiring the righteous resistance of the Yemeni people in the face of the US-Saudi-led aggression. He insisted on their right to self-determination and sovereignty by achieving unity among various Yemeni factions. Just as the Yemenis had their respect preserved by Hajj Qassem, so was he in their hearts because he resembles an ambitious resistance figure against all US-Zionist plots.
His perpetuation of Imam Khomeini’s legacy
This legendary character, like Imam Khomeini, is considered one of the favourite characters in the hearts of all the free people of the world, its militants, and all the resistance fighters. Through his personality, his work, and his plans to resist aggression, everyone is touching his mark on the front of the resistance from the ocean to the Gulf. Imam Khomeini did not die because he left the martyr Soleimani, who in turn also did not die in fact, as he built an army of resistance fighters like him. Rather, he is the one who said that they are now superior to him in more than one position.
The trustworthy son of Iraq
Likewise, Commander Soleimani was on the side of the resistance fighters in Iraq against the American occupation, and later against its terrorist ISIS, as he had an important role alongside his loyal companion martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis in founding the Popular Mobilisation Forces, and providing them with military capabilities, which have contributed to defeating and thwarting the US scheme and crushing its imperialist hegemony over Iraq.
These qualities have made martyr Hajj Qassem a prominent model for those who seek to closely perceive Imam Khomeini’s school, his shrewd exceptional leadership and his blessed revolution, the international, the prominent, and the comprehensive revolution, and a credential for supporting and aiding all the free people and those who struggle against the Zio-American oppression and its Saudi-Takfirist proxies in all parts of the world, for all peoples and ethnicities, no matter how different their religion or ideology.
