The Netherlands took a hard turn to the radical right with the landslide election of The Freedom Party (PVV), led by far-right politician Geert Wilders. Wilder’s win comes on the heels of Argentina’s election of far-right libertarian Javier Milei as President, both hardline supporters of the Israeli apartheid state.
Zoe Alexandra, the co-editor of Peoples Dispatch, discusses the rise of right-wing “populism” in increasingly extreme forms.
“For the last several years we’ve seen how neoliberalism has destroyed the working class across the world and how far-right leaders have filled that vacuum.”
