The Republican Party has reached the point where it has to fight for Trump or be deserted by voters
It is a curious thing to watch Republican candidates for the 2024 presidential election put themselves forward as an alternative to Trump, who is indicted by a reported protege of George Soros, who is believed by many to be one of America’s worst enemies. These “alternatives to Trump” are encouraged by the Republican Establishment, which wants rid of Trump as much as do the Democrats. They are rightly perceived by Trump Americans as traitors.
Asa Hutchinson is a non-starter. So are Pence and Pompano. The only strong candidate, other than Trump, is DeSantis. However, as Trump’s supporters perceive Trump’s indictment as the Democrats’ attempt to remove the candidate that they cannot beat, any Republican who runs against Trump will be perceived as a traitor. No Trump supporters, who are a large majority of Republican voters, would vote for a candidate who was not supportive of Trump. If the Republican Party Establishment turns its back on Trump and does not support him against a false indictment, the Republican Party is finished. It will be a dead party.
If DeSantis runs against Trump, he will ruin himself unless Trump’s supporters can be brainwashed by the presstitutes that Trump is legitimately prosecuted. As Americans are, on the whole, insouciant, Trump’s belief in the American people could be mistaken. If so, Trump will pay the price for believing in the American people.
