US urges countries to take back ISIS fighters amid growing insurgency threat across Africa

The United States has urged countries to repatriate the tens of thousands of former ISIS fighters and their families who are still in detention in Iraq and Syria.

It comes as Italy calls for an international task force to counter the growing threat posed by the spread of Islamic State across Africa.
