Why did Jordan rush to participate in a large-scale us military attack on ISIS base in the Syrian desert

What is the price for the aircraft and helicopters? And is the real target the Syrian Islamic resistance and the “terrorist” triad of Hamas, Hezbollah and Ansar Allah?

London – This incident occurred suddenly, following the deaths of two American soldiers and an interpreter. Three others were wounded by an armed man belonging to the New Syrian Security Forces during a closed military meeting held under the supervision of the US Central Command in Palmyra to coordinate a strategy to combat terrorism in the region. The Islamic State (ISIS) turned into a “superpower” threatening the security of the Middle East, Europe, America, and perhaps even the galaxies of Saturn and Mars.

Suddenly, and without any prior notice, an alliance established by the United States in 2014 under the name “International Coalition against ISIS” was revived and activated. The new Syrian state, which shares many extremist Islamic ideologies with ISIS, joined this alliance. Steve Wittkopf, the US envoy to the Middle East, confirmed that President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former ally of ISIS, pledged during his recent visit to America and his meeting with President Donald Trump to join the aforementioned alliance, whose military operations will not be limited to eliminating the Islamic State (ISIS) only but also all other “terrorist” movements, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, Ansar Allah in Yemen, and those who will join this list in the coming months and years.

Early Saturday morning, US forces in Syria launched extensive attacks on more than 70 targets in the Syrian desert, including infrastructure and weapons depots allegedly belonging to ISIS, resulting in the death of five of its fighters and injuries to others, the number of whom was not specified in the US military statement.

It was noteworthy that Jordan confirmed its participation with the international coalition forces in bombing targets of the “ISIS” organisation in Syria, and that “the Royal Jordanian Air Force participated in carrying out precise air strikes targeting several targets belonging to the ISIS terrorist gang in multiple areas in Syria.”

Ironically, these attacks by the aforementioned alliance coincided with an Israeli incursion today for the third time into the countryside of Quneitra Governorate, where Israeli tanks and armoured vehicles stormed several areas, set up security checkpoints, and arrested many of the region’s residents who had demonstrated in protest vigils, with dozens of them participating in the city of Salam in the governorate in protest against these Israeli incursions and the kidnapping and killing of many of its Syrian residents.

American forces will avoid bombing Israeli targets inside Syria, the occupied Palestinian territories, Mount Hermon, and the Syrian Golan Heights; they will not protect Syrian citizens from Israeli missiles and tanks, nor will they stop Israeli terrorism and the threat of “ISIS gangs”. But it appears that there is “permissible terrorism” and another that is “forbidden”, from the perspective of American justice. Israeli terrorism is allowed and welcomed, even if its missiles reach the Presidential Palace, the Ministry of Defence, and the headquarters of the Army General Staff in the heart of Damascus.

We would like to know what our brotherly Jordan will receive in return for this swift response to the American request to send its air force, warplanes, and helicopters to bomb ISIS bases, its forces’ infrastructure, and its weapons depots in Syria. Will America and its Central Command stop the Israeli violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the killing of dozens of the Strip’s inhabitants daily? Or, to leave Gaza aside, will America at least compel Benjamin Netanyahu to release Jordan’s share of the water that he has stopped? We would rather not mention the numerous examples of this, but we may revisit them later.

What we fear most is that this armed American uprising may not have the terrorist movement “ISIS” as its primary target, but rather the national Islamic resistance that has begun to emerge in Syria and its surroundings, especially the slopes of Mount Hermon in southern Syria.

Perhaps it is useful on this occasion to recall the dangerous statement made by President Trump at the Jewish Hanukkah celebration he held at the White House the day before yesterday, in which he boasted that he was the one who gifted the Golan Heights to Israel and later discovered that its value was not in billions, as he thought, but in trillions of dollarsbecause of the rare minerals, shale oil, strategic military location, and the fact that it supplies Israel with a third of its water needs.

There is no doubt that ISIS poses a threat to the security and stability of Syria and its new regime, and perhaps to other governments in the region, but it is a limited threat compared to the Israeli and American threats.

The Islamic extremism ideology that America claims to be fighting is not dangerous in its content, teachings, foundations, elements, and weapons, but rather in whose camp this ideology stands and in whose service it is employed. If it serves America, its interests, and its plans to support Israel and its war of annihilation, then welcome it. But if it is otherwise, then the alliances to wage war on it and eradicate it are ready and need nothing more than a green light from Washington and the US Central Command.
