Rise of Hezbollah and frontline military successes?
What is behind this “media humility” and “exemplary” political decorum?
The new development in Lebanon, and possibly the entire Arab region, is not direct negotiations and military coordination under American supervision between the Israeli occupation state and the delegations of the Lebanese normalisation authority, but rather the accomplishments of the Resistance Brigades in occupied southern Lebanon. These accomplishments happen “silently, without any political or media fanfare”. No one has made an initial, second, or twentieth statement. Those who follow the Resistance media have noticed a “new tone” that is not dominated by the beating of war drums, typical revolutionary mobilisation, or exaggeration of enemy deaths. Instead, there are serious, practical analyses of political realities on the ground or on the battlefields by specialists and analysts who, despite their extensive and complex informational backgrounds, exemplify the finest principles of humility and simplicity. This feat is accomplished without resorting to treachery or the media “slander” that is usually used in the Arab world against the opposing camp, which embraces a policy of surrender as the quickest road to a ceasefire and on the premise of rising above reciprocal treatment.
The Lebanese resistance achieves milestones and triumphs on the battlefronts against the Israeli enemy nearly every day, while the enemy’s media reports these achievements. Not a day goes by without Israeli army spokespersons revealing high numbers of dead and injuries, and the Israeli media and experts, the majority of whom are retired generals, paint a bleak picture of Israeli defeats on the battlefield, both militarily and morally.
We were not surprised by the field investigation conducted by the correspondent of the independent daily newspaper “Haaretz”, which was published yesterday, summarising his meetings with Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon, the prevailing sense of frustration and despair among them, and the announced numbers of dead and wounded totalling more than 1,043 since the beginning of the war on February 28 of last month, with the majority of these injuries being severe.
The most important point that piqued our interest, ranking second only to the number of dead and wounded, was the confession of many soldiers about looting and stealing from Lebanese homes abandoned in haste by their owners by soldiers of an army whose leaders claim to be the most moral in the world. One soldier even admitted, “We have turned into an army of thieves, and all our tasks have become limited to looting and destroying homes,” whereas “Hezbollah” forces achieve victory after victory on the battlefields thanks to their fighters’ strong will, the use of very advanced weapons and drones, and a complete commitment to military plans, war ethics, and laws.
I’ve never seen a single “Hezbollah” leader stand in front of an electronic or wooden screen explaining “with his stick” the miraculous performance of resistance fighters on the battlefields or displaying images of these swooping drones that terrified the enemy and its forces and how they failed to confront and shoot them down.
This “humility”, which reflects the new policy of the resistance’s media and is based on the doctrine of “let the achievements on the battlefields speak”, is a sign of confidence, long breath, strategic patience, and precise knowledge of the enemy’s political and military secrets. This development, in both its political and military aspects, reflects a field readiness that has been prepared for throughout the resistance’s “military strategic silence” after the “Beirut massacre” and the assassinations that lasted for more than a year and a half, focusing on overcoming and absorbing Israeli provocations and not falling into the trap of their objectives for the sake of rebuilding the armed forces and developing their weapons, compensating
The Israeli army and its leadership use the “hyena’s howl” and its lament, the worsening of its wounds, and its daily bloodshed instead of the “lion’s roar” operation against their aggression on Iran and Lebanon. It marks the start of an impending, swift victory. Maybe this chaos and bewilderment, which are readily apparent from President Trump’s comments and Netanyahu’s pallid face, are the mirror that reflects and validates what we have stated, are still saying, and have predicted over the past few months.
