Hezbollah weapons and drones frightened Netanyahu and his army.
What is the “secret” behind the “poor people’s drones” that scared Netanyahu and his army and that no sophisticated American weapon could identify or eliminate?
The third round of direct negotiations between representatives of the Israeli government and their counterparts in the Lebanese authority to reach a normalisation peace agreement, mutual recognition, and embassies, under the auspices of the U.S. State Department, began at the same time as the Israeli army deliberately increased its airstrikes on dozens of Lebanese villages. This escalation is a reflection of the confusion that exists in the south among the army, its leadership, and its soldiers as a result of the exaggerated death toll that Hezbollah’s highly sophisticated drones have been causing daily. These drones are difficult to detect and target, and they hit their targets with unprecedented accuracy.
A “dive-bombing” drone launched by the resistance targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the occupied Ras Naqoura area at dawn today, sending a message to the Lebanese negotiators and their Israeli counterparts. Three Israeli soldiers were injured, two of whom were critically injured and may have died before reaching the hospital, and an armoured personnel carrier was destroyed.
The timing, which requires precise calculations to align with the start of negotiations in Washington, serves as a reminder to the Israeli and Lebanese parties that the opposition is still going strong. The day will come when the normalisers and signatories will be held accountable—possibly even more severely than what happened to their sort in the recent past—and whatever agreement is reached will remain ink on paper.
One of the biggest surprises in their recent emergence after a deliberate silence of more than a year and a half is the Lebanese drones, which were skilfully produced and outfitted by the Lebanese resistance war factories. The Israeli military and political leadership now fears and worries about them because they
After a deliberate silence of almost a year and a half, the Lebanese drones are regarded as one of the greatest shocks, having been skilfully produced and outfitted by the military factories of the Lebanese resistance. Since they currently pose one of the most difficult and hazardous security issues for the Israeli army and its personnel stationed in Lebanon, they have become a source of fear and anxiety for the Israeli leadership, both political and military.
A few days ago, video footage of one of these drones’ attacks was broadcast by the war media of the Lebanese resistance, which has resumed its activities but under new, sophisticated leadership and at a high level of professionalism. The footage showed and documented the targeting of Israeli military forces and vehicles, including bulldozers, Merkava tanks, Hummer vehicles, and troop carriers, with a limited number of these drones (of the FPV type), and the destruction was visible on the majority of them.
These optical fibre-equipped drones are difficult to detect and intercept, according to neutral military experts. Netanyahu urged Israeli army officials to confront Hezbollah’s drones and missiles, personally acknowledging that they pose the biggest threat.
Ironically, a single one of these drones can target and destroy Israeli vehicles and armoured units valued at millions of dollars, particularly the Merkava tanks, which are regarded as the pride of Israeli industry. The cost of manufacturing a single one of these drones is only hundreds or possibly thousands of dollars.
It was a ridiculous situation that reflected the frustration and despair of the Israeli military leadership when their experts turned to covering vehicles and tanks with metal or nylon nets to protect them from these “Hezbollah” drones, as earlier countermeasures were now impossible and conventional weapons like missiles and aircraft were ineffective against the drones. The Israeli army’s last desperate attempt to overcome this obstacle was to quickly turn to the United States for shrapnel bullets in the hopes of shooting them down, but Western experts do not think these bullets will be successful in this extremely difficult assignment.
The Lebanese Islamic Resistance, in its recent return, is not only more powerful and organised after its deliberate and calculated “political statement” but also self-sufficient, with purely local arms and the presence of brilliant minds who devise and manage the use of its most advanced drones and missiles. Consequently, we do
The Lebanese Islamic Resistance, in its new return, is not only more powerful and organised after its deliberate and calculated “political statement” but also self-sufficient, with purely local arms and the presence of brilliant minds who devise and manage plans to use its most advanced drones and missiles. Therefore, we do not believe that the plans currently being discussed by the Lebanese and Israeli military delegations that joined the Washington negotiations aimed at the joint effort to disarm “Hezbollah” will succeed in achieving their goals. Just as the Israeli army was defeated and all of occupied southern Lebanon was liberated in 2000, and the victory in the July 2006 war and the elimination of all collaborators and deceived individuals, the same scenario will be repeated in the coming days, God willing.
The resistance is returning on all fronts: in Iraq, where 600 attacks have been directed at American bases and interests on its soil and a similar number or slightly fewer on the other side of the western Gulf coast; and on the Yemeni front, which is preparing to launch hypersonic and cluster warhead missiles to bomb Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, and Eilat again.
In our opinion, the official Lebanese authorities made a strategic mistake by betting on normalisation with the Israeli occupation state, which has never respected its signing of ceasefire and “peace” agreements. The United States, which has so far failed to protect its allies and bases in the Arabian Gulf region, is unlikely to be able to protect them. And the days are between us.
