Millions are facing starvation and disease as the civil war in Sudan continues to escalate. The conflict, which began in April 2023 over an internal struggle for power between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has displaced nearly 6 million people and killed more than 12,000 and 40% of the population is facing acute food insecurity.
