‘Israel of Latin America’: Trump Pick for Colombia Pres. Vows to ‘Gut’ Country’s Left

Colombia heads to the polls again Sunday for the second round of voting for the country’s next president, where the leftist candidate, progressive human rights lawyer Iván Cepeda, is facing off against far-right Trump pick Abelardo de la Espriella, who’s been associated with the far-right paramilitary death squads that terrorized the country for decades and who’s vowed to “tear out the insides” of Colombia’s left. He also met recently with Marco Rubio, and as Los Angeles-based Colombian activist Javier Guerrero tells BT Live, “we know what that meeting could have been about, right?”
