While the US blamed Iran for a deadly attack on its forces in Jordan, one analyst says Washington should instead focus on halting Israel’s invasion of Gaza.
Elijah Magnier, a Brussels-based military analyst, noted the “escalation” of the types of weapons used and the frequency of attacks from Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen because of the Gaza war.
“I think the US is looking in the wrong place because instead of looking who’s behind these attacks … it should work towards stopping the war on Gaza,” said Magnier.
He noted halting the supply of US weapons to Israel would stop its war on Gaza. “It seems the Americans are happy to take further casualties on behalf of Israel, otherwise America should exert more control over the Israelis,” Magnier told Al Jazeera.
