Syria: Israeli Strikes at Syrian Airport Part of US Perception Management
▪️Israeli strikes on Syria are designed to manage regional public perception ahead of the regional use of US-backed terrorists now controlling Syria;
▪️In order to use Syria against Iran and its regional allies, especially Hezbollah in Lebanon, and to create regional support for Syria in the process, the reality of Syria being a proxy alongside Israeli must be minimized;
▪️Striking an airport creates negligible damage but to the uninformed public looks like “Israel” is trying to prevent Syria from building an air force – and Qatari state media Al Jazeera is there to reinforce this false narrative – Qatar itself being a US proxy alongside both Israel and Syria’s current regime;
▪️Likewise, the US condemning the Israeli strikes helps create the illusion of “friction” and “distance” between the US and its Israeli proxies to generate plausible deniability despite Israeli warplanes, bombs, and ISR all coming from the US itself;

Think about Syria sending troops into Lebanon to fight Hezbollah when the entire region sees Hezbollah fighting Israel…
It would blatantly look like Syria was rushing to Israel’s (and ultimately to Washington’s) aid.
By playacting some sort of Israeli-Syrian conflict, this perception can be minimized.
