▪️ Kyiv Independent citing German gov claims the package includes 10 Leopard 1 tanks, 20 Marder IFVs, 3 HIMARS launchers as well as 2 IRIS-T air defense systems, single digit amounts of other support vehicles & equipment, negligible amounts of small arms/ammo;
▪️Leopard 1 tanks are post WW2 Cold War-era systems less capable than the now exhausted number of Leopard 2s Ukraine was given;
▪️The package fails to cover Ukrainian losses, falling far short of building up critical mass in terms of military capabilities;
▪️The German announcement, instead of hiding minute quantities like the US Department of Defense does, posts the total amount given since 2022 with a previous amount in parentheses, meaning you must subtract to find the difference and thus the quantities provided in the latest package;
