M1A1s have already been sent by the US, admittedly prone to Russia’s vast and growing kamikaze drone fleet, many of which have been destroyed;
M1A1s are particularly difficult to maintain because of their heavy weight and turbine engine;
Other Western MBTs included the Challenger 2, Leopard 1 and 2 tanks, all of which have suffered from superior Russian capabilities and an inability for Ukraine to maintain and effectively operate them;
