Will the Iranian delegation meet with Americans in Islamabad after the Lebanon massacre?
How did Hezbollah’s rapid missile response surprise Israel and America?
These massacres committed by Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon yesterday, which resulted in the martyrdom of 254 people and the injury of 1,165 others, the vast majority of whom were innocent civilians, and just hours after the decision to suspend hostilities between Iran and America for two weeks, mediated by Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Mr Shahbaz Sharif, reaffirm three main points:
• The first: The US accepted this truce not to achieve a genuine cessation of the aggression it is waging with Israel against Iran but rather to save Trump’s face, which has become a global mockery, and to spare the US the embarrassment of his theatrical threats of destruction, opening the gates of hell, and erasing Iran and its civilisation from the Earth. These threats were accompanied by time periods, the most recent of which he extended more than four times.
• The second is a bloody message from Netanyahu in which he wants to not only bury this agreement hours after it was reached but also to confirm that he is the one with the final say and that Trump, whom Netanyahu considers his servant, does not have the decision of war or peace in the Middle East.
• The third: The mediators, including the Arab and Muslim ones, are merely puppets in the hands of the American-Israeli aggressor states, and their words and testimonies cannot be relied upon. This relates to Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who verified that the ceasefire agreed upon between the United States and Iran, which he personally mediated, also applies to Lebanon and includes it in response to Trump and his government’s endorsement of the Israeli narrative.
We have warned Iran, the sister Islamic state, more than once in this place about American-Zionist treachery and about being bitten for the third time by the same hole. We know they understand this reality, but the saying “the one whose hand is in the fire is not like the one whose hand is in the water” applies to the Iranian leadership, which believes in taking all necessary measures to end the war that no one wants, thus avoiding responsibility and legal obligations.
We have always believed that the Israeli occupying state will not stop this aggression until it has achieved all of its objectives, the most prominent of which are regime change, uprooting Iran’s nuclear and missile programmes from their roots, ending Iran’s existential threat to Israel, and transforming Iran into a failed state similar to Libya and Syria, fragmented and dominated by political and military chaos. For these reasons, individually or collectively, it hastened to bomb this Iranian-American agreement with missiles and planes that were launched toward Lebanon, Hezbollah, and its warm national popular base.
Hezbollah responded by launching 30 rockets early Thursday to target Israeli settlements in the northern occupied Palestinian Galilee, resuming missile and drone strikes that began on the first day of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran on February 28, confirming the fronts’ unity. This answer highlights the failure of Israel’s earlier onslaught on Lebanon a year and a half ago, which began with the Beir al-Sabia warfare and assassinations, to eliminate the Lebanese Islamic resistance and remove it from the military and political equations in Lebanon and the region. The party’s military return is a practical and decisive response to the naive individuals who confirmed its end and exit from the political and military equations in Lebanon and the region.
We are well aware that the possibilities of the official Iranian negotiation team, led by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, attending are far larger than the chances of a boycott, because Iran, as a state, follows the “Yes… but” strategy. “But”, and therefore, we will not demand that it refrain from falling into the trap of negotiations with America, which was set for it in Islamabad by the infamous Zionist cunning, with the unfortunate participation of the “Muslim” Pakistani authorities.
Iran’s ability to withstand 40 days of Israeli-American aggression and destroy the majority of Greater Tel Aviv as well as the strategic infrastructure of Haifa, Akka, Eilat, Beersheba, Ashkelon, and Ashdod with hypersonic and cluster missiles is a great victory that marks the beginning of the end for the racist, terrorist Zionist entity and American prestige. Those who declare war, remain steadfast, and do not hesitate to bomb Tel Aviv are unafraid of Zionist-American traps. Perhaps this intense missile bombardment by Hezbollah and the immediate response to the Israeli massacre in Lebanon confirm everything we say and fall within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defence, possibly in agreement with the Iranian ally as well.
What bothers us is that the “Lebanese” Cabinet convenes an emergency meeting, chaired by President Joseph Aoun and attended by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, not to issue a decision for the Lebanese army to confront Israeli aggression, protect the Lebanese people, and defend the sovereignty of the Lebanese state, but rather to emphasise the inevitability of disarming the resistance and restricting the carrying of arms to legitimate forces only. Is this the proper time? At the very least, remain silent in reverence for the martyrs’ souls and blood… Stop provoking the majority of Lebanese people.
We refrain from responding to these shameful positions at this time and under the current circumstances, and we suffice with saying that we will not stoop to this low level of patriotism, honour, and defence of all the Lebanese people whom this state claims to represent and speak on behalf of.
