Why does Netanyahu think Iran would launch a preemptive missile strike?

How did the US and Israel return to prioritising the downfall of Iran’s regime? What shocks does the Iranian leadership hope to achieve in the approaching clash in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean?

When Iranian missiles destroy 12 massive oil tankers that attempted to sneak through the Strait of Hormuz without complying with its conditions, the United States is challenged, directly provoked, and all of its claims to control the strait and restore commercial navigation are undermined. This incident explains the US president’s brief retreat from his threats to bomb Iran with the “mother of all bombs” due to the potential consequences.

The Iranian people and administration no longer fear the Israeli-American combination and are well prepared to face any new aggression. One of the most significant choices is an initiative to assault and target aircraft carriers and over 20 warships in the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.

Netanyahu underlined similar fears, emphasising the need to accelerate aggression to prevent Iran from delivering the first strike. In a recent press conference, he stated that Israel is prepared to launch a preemptive strike on Iran without American support and that his main goal is to destabilise the regime in Tehran, claiming that 90% of the mission has been completed due to the deterioration of the Iranian economy, which increases popular pressure and may lead to new protests.

Eight months of a stifling siege on Iran, including port closures, have failed to topple the regime or provoke the Iranian people to protest. The exact reverse occurred: the people rallied and supported their leaders.

Trump’s statement of his support and endorsement for Netanyahu in the Israeli legislative elections on the 27th of this month reveals that he has placed his full trust in the Likud party, led by Netanyahu. It also signals impending joint aggression, with both their fates at stake on the battlefield and in the polls.

Iran’s allies are winning and becoming stronger, with their fingers on the trigger, waiting for the launch signal to fall into the battlefield and cross all red lines. We are talking about “Hezbollah” in Lebanon, which has recovered and fully restored its military capabilities, “Ansar Allah” in Yemen, the Popular Mobilisation Forces in Iraq, and the renewed Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which has refused to concede or surrender a single rifle despite American and Israeli pressure, the collusion of neighbouring Arab countries, and the continuation of the genocide war.

Trump rejected a Saudi proposal to attack Yemen’s “Ansar Allah” movement, while Egypt reversed or “postponed” its offer to send forces to the kingdom to “protect it” from Yemeni Houthi shelling due to resistance in parliament and on the Egyptian streets. The failure of the two pillars of the Mecca Alliance, Turkey and Pakistan, to commit to defending the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a sign of the American alliance’s loss in the region.

Israel will undoubtedly succeed in dragging America into a new aggression against Iran, as Trump cannot refuse any request from his mentor Netanyahu, just as it succeeded in dragging Saudi Arabia into reigniting the war in Yemen through its American ally, who promised not to leave Saudi Arabia alone but failed to deliver as usual.

It is necessary to recall the destruction of the Lebanese resistance at the American Marine barracks, which resulted in the deaths of 241 people, as well as the deaths of 51 French soldiers in another explosion.
