It is not a win for Nouri al-Maliki.. but for Iraq
Under the guise of democracy and respect for human rights, the United States of America, the “free world’s” leader, imposed a strict starvation blockade on our people in Iraq for more than 13 years, resulting in the deaths of over a million Iraqis from hunger and depriving the country of its defensive capabilities, just as it did in Syria and the Gaza Strip. Following that, it established a coalition of 36 countries and dispatched a vast force of approximately 200,000 soldiers to attack and occupy this genuine Arab state. It did not hesitate to employ depleted uranium bombs to slaughter nearly another million of its defenceless children, as well as stealing its oil wealth and historical artefacts.
We present this introduction after U.S. President Donald Trump bared his fangs today, Wednesday, warning against Mr Nouri al-Maliki’s election as Iraq’s new prime minister in accordance with constitutional texts and the approval of the elected Iraqi parliament in a preemptive, aggressive strike. He backed this “impudent” statement with a threat to halt all aid to Iraq effective today.
The democracies that Trump seeks in Iraq, all Arab countries, and possibly all third-world countries produce agents loyal to America, normalise relations with the Israeli occupation state, and support the wars of extermination, starvation, and ethnic cleansing in occupied Palestine, Yemen, and Lebanon.
Trump’s nasty and aggressive message to the Iraqi people and all other peoples across the world, including Europe and the majority of Western countries, is, “I am your supreme ruler.” There is no need to vote to elect your parliamentary members, state presidents, or rulers. You need to give us a call to finalise this assignment. We are always willing to execute this duty on your behalf, and we wish to provide you with comfort and relief from this heavy burden.
We do not rule out the possibility that Trump is behind the two Iraqi Kurdish parties’ abrupt decision to postpone the parliamentary session scheduled for yesterday, Tuesday, to elect a president of Iraq, who would then choose and appoint a prime minister of Iraq. If this idea is correct, due to the pressures and extortion threats that we are familiar with, Iraq may be on the verge of instability, mobilisation, and maybe sectarian civil war.
This bold American intervention in Iraq’s internal affairs coincides with the mobilisation of aircraft carriers, armies, and naval destroyers in preparation for an attack on Iran, aimed at destroying the regime, providing security and stability for the Israeli occupation, and supporting its military actions in occupied Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen. This episode sheds light on the need for all Arab and Islamic countries and peoples to unite in resistance against this new American barbaric colonialism.
The magnificent Iraqi people, who have a rich historical legacy of victories and heroism in their wars against invaders spanning over 15 centuries, must unite to confront this American colonial conspiracy and set aside all political and sectarian differences, because the danger threatens everyone, including the Iraqi homeland and its national and territorial unity.
Today, we stand in Iraq’s trenches without hesitation, confronting the American scheme led by Trump at the behest of the Zionist movement, just as we did a quarter of a century ago when we faced the siege, aggression, and occupation, in recognition and appreciation of all that the Iraqi people have offered us in terms of civilisation, innovations, and victories over numerous invaders.
Finally, we urge all those who have placed their trust in America, believed its false promises, supported and facilitated its occupation to carry out its conspiracies in Iraq, and concentrated their efforts in one area to avoid repeating their recent catastrophic mistake. The late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a victim of the American-Zionist machinations alongside other presidents, correctly declared, “He who seeks shelter with the Americans is naked.” We further emphasise that he is not only exposed but also extremely bloated, lying on his deathbed, and will not live much longer… Additionally, he will be discarded into the annals of history.
