“Tadmur Operation” began the American mission’s failure in the region

Are we on the verge of establishing a “third new Syria”? What are its most noteworthy features?

The killing of three Americans, two of whom were soldiers and the third a translator, and the injury of three others in the archaeological city of Palmyra, is a terrible omen for President Donald Trump, his administration, and his “genius” envoy Tom Barrack, not to mention the interim Syrian president Ahmad al-Shara and his authority, who were celebrating in the past few days on two occasions: the first was the anniversary of the fall of the previous regime

Ironically, this American group was attending a “secret” meeting in the historic city of Palmyra (Homs Governorate) titled “Countering Terrorism”, when the real reason was the creation of several American military bases in Syrian Badia. This attack acted as a warning message, demonstrating that this strategy will fail and that there is no place for the bases, whether they are in Iraqi territory or new ones in Syria. Even if we establish them, they will remain unsafe.
It is worth noting that the perpetrator of the attack, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of a record number of American soldiers as well as a Syrian security officer, was a single man who was slain.

It seems improbable that this meticulously planned and a single individual carried out executed attack. Most likely, the attack was carried out by a group or organisation, which raises the question of why this entity is acting now.
Several parties are currently facing accusations:

• The Islamic State is responsible for this attack because it occupied Palmyra for over two years before the previous regime was expelled, according to the US Central Command for the Middle East (CENTCOM).

• The second possibility is that the Syrian Islamic National Resistance, or soldiers and security personnel loyal to the former regime, initiated new military movements by targeting the American forces, referred to as the head of the snake, along with their Israeli counterparts, who attacked them in Beit Jinn and the slopes of Mount Hermon, resulting in many casualties, although the United States refuses to acknowledge their presence.

• The third possibility is that the operation was carried out by one of the factions that was once linked with Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, led by Abu Muhammad al-Julani, but later split off. There have been multiple leaks indicating this possibility, and it is stated that the executor was close to President al-Shara, with a photo of him attending one of the sessions he presided over being distributed. However, neither a trustworthy official nor an unofficial source has corroborated this theory.

The Palmyra onslaught, as well as the scale of American human and moral costs, suggests that the second year in the new Syria will be quite different from the first. These consecutive developments and the diversity of fronts, organisations, resistances, and alliances may result in a “Third Syria” with an Arab Islamic identity that is not only a member of the Axis of Resistance but perhaps its leader.

The American plan to assist massacres and Israeli extermination wars has taken a significant blow with numerous consequences, the most important of which is that the American project is failing one after the other due to the stupidity of President Trump’s advisors and specialists. They are competent in areas beyond real estate broking, and their power comes not only from family connections, but also from their unfamiliarity with the Arab region and its tens of thousands of years of history; we thank God for this ignorance.

America was defeated in Afghanistan owing to rising human casualties, despite its military supremacy and the devotion of the majority of the forces it had deployed. It spent billions of dollars on arms because it was not wanted in any Islamic country. Therefore, we were not astonished when some parts of the “new” Syrian army sang of victory for Gaza and “the flood of Al-Aqsa”. We wouldn’t be shocked if the perpetrator of this operation against the Americans was one of the young Syrians who had awakened from their slumber due to false American propaganda broadcast by various Arab satellite stations.

This operation, regardless of who is behind it, marks a new era in Syria and the region, with the main theme being that America, Israel, and their operatives are not welcome.
