Hochstein is in Beirut to save the failed ‘Israel’
The occupying entity’s savage doctrine has failed during several experiments, but it has not learnt the lesson due to the arrogance of its leadership and those behind them.
The US Senior Advisor for Global Energy Security Amos Hochstein has arrived in Beirut. The timing of Hockstein’s surprise visit to Lebanon comes between two speeches by the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Also, it reflects Washington’s serious paranoia of an expected expansion of the conflict in the region, especially the fear of activating the Resistance’s “civilian versus civilian” equation.
Since the 7th of October, several successive visits were made by Western officials to Beirut to threaten Hezbollah. For its part, Washington is pressing to stop Resistance operations from the Lebanese side, but Sayyed Nasrallah has repeatedly stressed that the Resistance will not allow the enemy to cripple the Palestinian Resistance.
Obviously, Amos Hochstein has acted in Lebanon as if he were a High Commissioner: very provocative behaviour that violates all the diplomatic norms and his own known function, i.e., the demarcation of Lebanon’s marine borders in the South.
What is most dangerous about Hochstein’s visit is his miserable attempt to remove an official pledge from the Lebanese authorities to stop Resistance operations in support of the Palestinians, given how these heroic operations have effectively contributed to weakening the enemy and relieving pressure on the Palestinians.
The enemy seriously fears the missile defence capabilities of the Lebanon front, especially after the failure of its Iron Dome systems to intercept its missiles. This explains the emptying of more than 40 so-called “settlements” of roughly 65,000 colonial settlers, who meanwhile refuse to return, which puts great pressure on the enemy government in crisis.
Within a month of the Israeli hostile aggression, the extent of the sharp division in the Zionist so-called “war cabinet” (consisting of Netanyahu, along his Security Ministers Yoav Galant and Gantz) is crystal-clear. So far, this cabinet has failed to unify its position, sparking a wave of severe criticism in Zionist circles, as they hold separate press conferences. It further reflects a miserable failure in managing the current aggression, and the exacerbation of the lack of confidence between the ruler and the ruled in the occupying entity, in light of the great disappointment in the performance of the Israeli colonial army, as the number of its dead has risen, since October 7, to 349, and in light of the Zionist government’s failure to dealing with the issue of prisoners of war with the Palestinian Resistance.
Netanyahu, Galant, and Gantz are throwing accusations at each other, and this will inevitably later strengthen the elimination of Netanyahu’s political influences. Furthermore, it will expand the existing sharp division within the fragile and fragmented entity, especially between the right-wingers and the liberals.
On the other hand, the Palestinian Resistance front is strengthening, adhering to its constants and conditions related to the future of Gaza, two decades after the complete and total siege that deprived its helpless civilians of their most basic humanitarian needs. The Resistance front’s discourse is consistent, balanced, and clear, unlike the occupation.
In its brutal aggression, the occupation has endured many disappointments and is unable to achieve any heroic achievement, but is rather accumulating continuous frustrations. In this context, “The Atlantic” has warned that if the enemy seeks to win the “war”, then it must not set “radical” goals because it will fail, as it failed in 2006 with Hezbollah. In his “The Lessons Israel Should Have Learned in Lebanon”, Andrew Exum maintains “If Israel is going to have any strategic success against Hamas, it needs to do three things differently from conflicts past.”
One month after the onset of its aggression, the apartheid regime has neither succeeded to annihilate Hamas nor has it recovered its prisoners. Rather, it has been stubborn in rejecting and ignoring international demands for a temporary ceasefire to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The issue of a ceasefire is completely rejected, with an American green light, because Washington considers this a victory for Hamas. This, therefore, means the continuation of crimes and massacres against the children and women of Gaza.
Washington defends the occupation because it is a dysfunctional entity that protects its imperial interests in West Asia. Despite this, the Palestinian resistance is determined to confront the aggression and inflict humiliations on the enemy in the field from zero distance.
The Zionist supremacy has fallen, despite possessing the latest military and intelligence technologies, in an absurd war run and financed by the imperialist West, but the Palestinian Resistance records exceptional, legendary heroism.
The Zionists’ doctrine is killing and intimidation, while the doctrine of the legitimate Resistance is defending land, an indigenous population and a righteous cause. The occupying entity’s savage doctrine has failed during several experiments, but it has not learnt the lesson due to the arrogance of its leadership and those behind them, and their illusions about the ability to paralyse the legitimate resistance movement.
