Now over 90 days into the genocide in Gaza, the International Court of Justice began hearing South Africa’s historic case against Israel under the Genocide Convention. A growing list of countries have announced their support for the proceedings as Israel’s ongoing bombardment rages on, having already killed 23,000 Palestinians.
Lamis Deek, an international attorney based in the U.S., with the Palestine Assembly for Liberation, discusses the landmark case.
“This has never happened in the history of Palestine. The provisional measures are asking that the ICJ order measures that will prevent and punish those who have engaged in Genocide in Palestine – this is huge.” –
