
Almost seven million people have been internally displaced in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) amid an escalation of fighting in the country as the M23, a proxy force backed by Rwanda, continues its offensive in violation of a ceasefire.
Kambale Musavuli of the Center for Research on the Congo explains the current situation in the DRC.
“The US continues to give these militaries millions of dollars every year while having the evidence that these countries are committing crimes in the DRC.”
