
We’re told by the US-backed Thai opposition and the Western media who promote them that Thailand’s military regularly interferes in Thai politics and undermines “democracy” by doing so. But Thaksin Shinawatra, in a recent interview, admits himself the horrific human rights abuses and conflict he stirred up while in office and makes the strongest case yet for why the military needed to remove him from power – and keep him out of power.
