Myanmar: US-funded Propaganda Spins Opposition Terrorism

US-backed opposition groups continue to carry out a deadly campaign of terrorism and militancy across the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar. The current crisis jeopardizes regional peace and stability and is being used to deliberately block China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

US-funded propaganda outlets in Myanmar, specifically “Myanmar Now,” has attempted to spin the brazen terrorism as heroic resistance. Ultimately, however, it is the opposition itself that admits to conducting terrorism up to and including the deliberate targeting of medical personnel.
