When US President Donald Trump uses the weapon of siege and economic sanctions against Iran, regardless of whether they are the largest or smallest in history, it indicates that the military option he has used over the last six months has failed to achieve the desired goals of this war, namely Iran’s surrender to all American conditions and demands. So far, the situation has been completely reversed.

Trump was blinded by arrogance, stupidity, and misleading and toxic Israeli information, preventing him from seeing the Iranian adversary’s political and military capabilities, the strength of its regime, the massive popular support it enjoys, and, most importantly, the exceptional management of the war, as well as the unprecedented use of military, political, and diplomatic power with skill and intelligence.

Trump is nearing the end, fighting for survival and seeking any “victory” that will offer him a lifeline. However, his chances of escaping the deep upheaval that his Israeli supporters have thrown him into appear poor, if not impossible

Just as the American military option failed to achieve any of its goals, despite its magnitude, the economic blockade will also fail, perhaps even more so, because Iran is a continent with nearly two million square kilometres of fertile land and a population of over 95 million people who will never go hungry. After all, they eat what they grow. Its self-sufficient industrial production meets all wants and needs, and friendly Islamic countries and peoples surround it.

The military option involves ending the war, whereas the economic embargo prolongs it and makes reaping its rewards extremely difficult. Is there enough time for Trump and his administration to gain these unknown rewards, especially since the midterm elections are three months away and their allies in the West and East have shown no intention of participating in this blockade due to fear of the consequences?

China’s president has reaffirmed that the country will not agree with Trump’s desire to impose a blockade on Iran, an ally. The same is true for Russia, and most of the Gulf states allied with America will not jeopardise their security, stability, and existence by succumbing to the American president’s pressures after he let them down militarily and failed to protect them or their costly military and political bases from Iranian missiles and drone attacks. Perhaps the formed Saudi-Turkish-Pakistani tripartite coalition in Mecca is one of the pieces of evidence for our claims.

If Trump has not ruled out resorting to the failed military option that shattered America’s prestige as a superpower and the superiority of its weapons and military capabilities, Iran is well prepared for it, even if it is the first to use it. Its leaders’ words confirm this fact. Major General Ahmad Vahidi, head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, announced today that “his country and its striking arms will continue to enhance the production of defensive and offensive industries at all levels to raise military readiness.” Meanwhile, Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, warned America and its president “that any miscalculation by the enemies will be met with crushing, deterrent, and destructive revolutionary responses. The Revolutionary Guard’s spokesperson, General Hossein Salami, “promised” the enemies “that there are major surprises on the way that will be revealed in the upcoming military confrontations, whether in the size and effectiveness of missile warheads, their range, or their accuracy.”

Iranian perseverance and confrontation with ongoing American and Israeli aggressions over several years, not just the recent six months, have taught us that if the Iranians say something, they do it, inflicting pain, humiliation, and discipline. The following days will confirm and strengthen this truth through new triumphs.
