The War In The Middle East: Religious, Metaphysical, And Spiritual Interpretations (II)

Part 1:

The War In The Middle East: Religious, Metaphysical, And Spiritual Interpretations

Iran has its own eschatology. In the tradition of Shiite Islam, it is said that the twelfth righteous Imam Mahdi, who remains in a hidden state, will return to this world on the eve of Judgment Day. Together with Christ (the prophet Isa in the Muslim teachings), he will lead an army to fight the Dajjal (Antichrist). The Mahdi himself will come from Khorasan, which historically covers part of contemporary Iran, but also Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

There is also mention of an evil man named Sufyani who will act on the eve of the Mahdi’s appearance. Here are some Muslim prophecies on this issue.

“Sufyani is red-yellow in color with blue eyes. He had never worshipped Allah and had never seen Mecca or Medina. And he will say: “O Lord, I thirst for blood, even though I will fall into the fire!”… “Sufyani is from the inevitable, and his performance will take place in the month of Rajab. Fifteen months will pass from the beginning of his speech to its completion, in six of which he will fight. When he takes possession of the five lands, he will rule for nine months and will not add even one day to them.” (Numani, “Al-Ghaiba”)

“Sufyani will come out under a green banner and with a gold cross. His standard-bearer will be a man from the Kalb tribe. Twelve thousand horsemen from the Sufyani army will march to Mecca and Medina. The head of the horsemen will be Khuzeima from the Umayyad clan. His left eye cannot see, and his (right) eye is oblique. And he is one of the people who crave this world (its benefits and power). No banner can stand up to him. Arriving in Madinah, he will gather men and women from the family of Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family) and imprison them in the house of Abu al-Hassan al-Umawi. Then Sufyani will send an army to Mecca in order to capture a man from the family of Muhammad who will oppose him. The head of the detachment that went to Mecca will be a man from the Kudafan tribe. When they reach the land of Bayda, they will be swallowed up by the earth, so that no one will be left alive except one. Allah will turn his face to the back of his head so that he can intimidate others. After that, Sufyani will go to Kufa with an army of one hundred and thirty thousand people. They will be located in Rahwad and Farouk, and in the land of Maryam and Isa, may peace be upon them” (Basharat al-Islam).

“The army opposing Imam Mahdi under the leadership of Sufyani will be swallowed up by the earth” (As-Sunan al-warida fil-fitan, ad-Dani).

Donald Trump fits the physiological description of Sufyani. Although the interpretation of land grabbing can be interpreted in different ways. It could be Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, which gave the United States the opportunity to strike Iran and received a response. The mention of the cross on the banner may indicate the nominal affiliation of the Sufyan army to Christianity. The disappearance of a part of the army underground suggests that this will not be a classic type of battle. However, the appearance of these troops in historical Palestine may indicate that the US armed forces are acting together with Israel, as it is.

For Christians (both Catholics and Orthodox), of course, the biblical description of the last times by the prophet Daniel and the Apostle John are of great importance.

In the prophet Daniel we read the following: “And that king will act according to his own will, and will be exalted and exalted above every god, and will speak blasphemy against the God of gods, and will prosper until wrath is fulfilled: for what is ordained will be fulfilled. And he will not think of the gods of his fathers, and he will not respect the desires of his wives, or even any deity; for he will exalt himself above all. But he will honor the god of fortresses in his place, and this god, whom his fathers did not know, he will honor with gold and silver, and with precious stones, and with various jewels, and will build a firm fortress with a strange god. Those who recognize him will increase their honors and give them power over many, and will distribute the land as a reward. At the end of time, the king of the south will fight with him, and the king of the north will rush upon him like a storm with chariots, horsemen, and numerous ships, and will attack the regions, flood them, and pass through them.… But rumors from the east and north will alarm him, and he will go out in the greatest rage to destroy and destroy many, and he will spread his royal tents between the sea and the mountain of the most glorious sanctuary; but he will come to his end, and no one will help him.… One thousand two hundred and ninety days will pass from the time of the cessation of the daily sacrifice and the setting up of the abomination of desolation. Blessed is he who waits and reaches one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.”

Both Netanyahu and Trump fit the description of the king of arbitrariness (geographically, Israel and the United States are located to the West of Iran). King of the south is clearly the Islamic Republic of Iran. But only Russia can be the king of the north! But we have not entered the war on the side of Iran (yet).

And the time of this chaos is 3.5 years. If we take into account that it all started in June 2025 with the first war against Iran, then this is the time of the Trump presidency before leaving office in early 2029.

A more mysterious message is contained in the Revelation of John the Theologian. For example, at the very beginning it says: “And write to the Angel of the Smyrna Church.”: Thus saith the First and the Last, who was dead, and lo, he liveth: I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty (nevertheless thou art rich), and the slander of those who profess to be Jews, and they are not, but the assembly of Satan.”

Is this a hint that the Israeli leadership is a satanic bunch?

Chapter 3 says, “And to the Angel of the Philadelphia Church write: Thus saith the Holy, true One, who hath the key of David, which openeth and no man shutteth, shutteth and no man openeth: I know thy works; behold, I have opened the door before thee, and no man can shut it; thou hast not much power, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.. Behold, I will make them out of the Satanic assembly, out of those who claim to be Jews, but are not, but lie. Behold, I will make them come and worship at your feet, and they will know that I have loved you.”

Philadelphia is the capital of Jordan, Amman now, which was part of the Decapolis of the Roman Empire. And the royal Hashemite dynasty is the official custodians of the keys of both mosques and Christian churches in Jerusalem.

Chapter 6 talks about the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. “And another horse, a red one, came out; and it was given to him who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and to kill one another; and a great sword was given to him.”

Isn’t it about Trump? After all, he has red hair, and he threatens war and the use of force everywhere. But the scariest part begins after the fourth seal is removed.

“And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and on it a rider whose name was death; and hell followed him; and power was given to him over a fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, and with the beasts of the earth. And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had.… And when He opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became dark as sackcloth, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree, shaken by a strong wind, drops its unripe figs. And the sky disappeared, rolled up like a scroll; and every mountain and island moved from their places. And the kings of the earth, and the nobles, and the rich, and the captains of thousands, and the mighty, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in caves and in the ravines of the mountains, and said to the mountains and stones, Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of his wrath is come. And who can resist?”

According to its physical descriptions, the removal of the sixth seal resembles a nuclear war – in the newsreel of thermonuclear weapon tests, you can see how the sky is curling up like a scroll, and the emissions of combustion products create a dense curtain through which sunlight does not pass. Underground bunkers are suitable for caves and gorges, where everyone who remains alive will hide. This, of course, is not the end of the upheavals – after the Seventh Seal is removed, the angels will begin to sound, followed by a series of terrible events and torments for most of the survivors.

It says about the coming of the Antichrist: “The whole earth marveled, watching the beast, and worshiped the dragon, who gave power to the beast, and worshiped the beast, saying: who is like this beast? And who can fight him? And he was given a mouth that spoke proudly and blasphemously, and he was given authority to act for forty-two months.”

This is also 3.5 years, like the prophet Daniel told. However, a nuclear war or something similar, when mountains will collapse, and the extinction of most of humanity has not yet happened.

In general, political interpretations of sacred texts are a rather dubious and dangerous business, since there is a temptation not only to attribute certain characteristics to a particular character, but also to place oneself above the prophets, whose allegorical language is not only complex, but hides many parallel meanings and symbols. And in every epoch there were interpreters who saw the last hours of humanity in the current signs of time.

Finally, there is another power that stands apart. This is China, which has the largest army in the world and ranks second after the United States in terms of defense spending. Although the conflict in Iran definitely concerns Beijing – oil supply issues, which, after the establishment of U.S. control over Venezuela, are of key importance to the country’s economy, China does not show that it is subject to an existential threat.

Moreover, there is no eschatological sentiment there, as in Iran, Russia, or the West. The reason for this is another tradition, a combination of Taoism, ancestor worship, and Confucianism, rather than the belief that God created humans in his own image. Hence the denial of the doctrine of human rights – if Uighurs or representatives of other ethnic groups begin to criticize or oppose the course of the party, then they, like disobedient children in a large family, can be punished in accordance with their own laws. And there is no West for them in this matter. Therefore, moral assessments in their extremes with a division into good and evil, as in Christianity or Islam, do not work there. China condemns aggression solely from its position, considering that it harms peaceful coexistence (and the promotion of their own projects in the region and globally).

In other words, if we look through a conditional cross-section of ethical teachings without religious interpretation, we can make an unequivocal conclusion that the United States and Israel were initially guilty (except there is no one to judge them), but with the addition of religious interpretations, the conflict acquires the scale of the struggle between the forces of Light and Darkness. This metaphysical cosmogony, where a certain scenario is laid down, is interpreted by each side in accordance with their own worldview and traditions. Although it is obvious that the murder of 165 Iranian schoolgirls at the very beginning of the war, as well as the civilian population in Lebanon and Palestine, is a clear sign that the Baal civilization represented by the US and Israel is in action.
