What are Trump’s options after the countdown to defeat in Iran has begun?
How did Netanyahu transform him into a “puppet” and involve him in a regional war of attrition that destroyed the most powerful American deterrence tools?
The American ruling elite is intensifying its criticism of US President Donald Trump for his embrace of Benjamin Netanyahu and the racist regime in the occupying state, as well as for succumbing to their pressure to prioritise Israel by mobilising all American military and diplomatic capabilities to serve its Middle Eastern wars, particularly those against Iran.
The American president has become a laughingstock as a result of his misunderstanding of the Middle East’s ancient and present history. The most recent chapter in this ignorance is America’s awakening, both among its leadership and its people, to Iran’s incredible military tenacity on the battlefield and the success of its forces in eliminating all American military outposts. More concerning is the tenacity of the ruling Iranian elite and the system’s survival in the face of American military strikes and the assassination of Mr Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
We don’t know what’s causing Trump to act like a puppet in front of Netanyahu, carrying out his directives without hesitation. During his first term, he relocated the American embassy to occupied Jerusalem, recognised Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights, cancelled the Iran nuclear deal, and supported genocide in the Gaza Strip. During his second term, he sent bombers to attack Iran twice, once in June (the 12-day war) and again ten days ago. Trump went even further, pleading with Israel’s president to grant Netanyahu a pardon, thereby ending his appearance before the Israeli Supreme Court on four corruption charges.
The majority of analysts agree on a notion that explains the head of the world’s largest country’s capitulation to Netanyahu. It alleges that this subservience stems from scandalous files stored by the Israeli Mossad that accuse Trump of rape crimes against minors, known as the “Epstein documents,” and that these videos were used to blackmail him.
The only thing Trump learned from his “mentor”, Netanyahu, is lying, rash decision-making, disrespect for the opposing party, and arrogance toward them and their talents. There are numerous examples in this regard, the most noteworthy being the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities last June and the subsequent claim of their destruction, only to discover that they remain intact. The ongoing attack against Iran, six months later, is the most obvious proof. And, while we’re on the subject of Iran, don’t forget Trump’s vow and insistence on his approval of the new Iranian leader, as well as his veto of Mojtaba, the son of martyr leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The deep Iranian state has dealt a powerful and humiliating slap to him by voting for him in the Assembly of Experts’ internal elections held in a secret location under American-Israeli assault. Trump will undoubtedly fail to assassinate himself or remain in power for an extended period of time.
Trump will be remembered as the American leader who destroyed America’s prestige and all of its outposts throughout the world, undermined its globally superior military deterrence, and led his country to defeat for the third time in the Middle East, following Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran. His failure to uphold his promises to prioritise America, refrain from intervention, and steer clear of foreign wars led to all these defeats.
Trump’s days appear to be numbered, as the American people and their deep state will not allow him to continue his destructive policies against their security, economy, and prestige. His failure in Iran has become evident, and he now has only two options: continue the war and suffer further defeats and casualties, or call a rapid and unconditional end to it with Iran and sign a “surrender” agreement with them.
There are two signs that he may choose to withdraw and retreat, implicitly recognising loss and failure as acknowledgements of error:
The first was a last-minute cancellation of his aides Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s travel to Tel Aviv, which was intended to coordinate the escalation of action against Iran.
Second, Iranian missiles destroyed over 17 American bases in the Middle East, effectively eliminating all of America’s military capabilities.
Due to the current global energy crisis caused by Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the record rise in petrol and oil prices, and the significant collapse of global financial markets, Israel has engulfed America in a war of attrition from which it will emerge only deeply wounded and near bankruptcy. All of this is due to Iran’s cunning, resilience, military and political preparedness, and, most importantly, its will to win at whatever cost, which has allowed it to effectively leverage its military actions and geopolitical strategies against American interests in the region, resulting in significant shifts in power dynamics and increased tensions in the Middle East, as evidenced by the ongoing conflicts and the reactions of other regional players who are now reassessing their alliances and strategies.
