The Iranian surprise that stumped Trump?
How did the “State of the Union” address confirm Trump’s impending departure? So, who is America’s most deadly “Khamenei”?
If the genocide war in Gaza brought down the Democratic Party and its president, Joe Biden, the Iran war, whether in its first round last June or its second round, which the entire world expects to begin at any time now, has driven the biggest and deadliest nail into the coffin of President Trump and his Republican Party.
The “State of the Union” address delivered by President Trump last night in front of the Senate and House of Representatives, as well as leaders of American political and military institutions, which he used to pave the way for the most recent round of this war and to persuade the American people with his false and fabricated justifications, produced opposite results. The most important was the historic decline in his and his party’s popularity, as well as the boycott of the speech by many members of both legislative chambers.
In our opinion, the most essential indicator is the posture of the American military establishment and its leadership, which rejects the impending war. They have mobilised two aircraft carriers, more than 20 destroyers, 300 fighter jets, and around 100,000 men to participate in it, not for American interests, but entirely for Israeli ones. The outcome could lead to a global conflict or another Vietnam. Iran is different from Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Venezuela in many ways.
I followed a person and watched the television broadcast cameras that broadcast the speech to hundreds of millions of people inside and outside of America, particularly the shots that focused on the seating area of the American military leaders and generals who had a special section in the audience hall, to see their reactions and facial expressions toward the chapters of this “Trump circus.”. These faces were pale, anxious, and uneasy, particularly that of General Dan Keen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who announced his opposition to the war against Iran, stating that it would be long, exhausting, and extremely expensive, and that it would not serve American interests; in fact, it is not needed at all.
President Trump told four significant lies in his address in an attempt to persuade the American people to go to war with Iran:
First, Iran is presently attempting to repair and rebuild nuclear facilities that were claimed to be destroyed in last June’s conflict.
The second is Iran’s excessive use of force against civilian demonstrators, which has resulted in the deaths of 32,000 people.
Third, Iran has begun constructing missiles with a range of over 15,000 kilometres to reach American land; it has previously developed missiles with a range of 3000 kilometres to target Europe.
Fourth, the governing Iranian authority has always suggested it might install Iranian nuclear bombs, and it forgets that the nuclear accord, which proves this fact and was concluded during the Obama administration in 2015, was also cancelled by him. Additionally, Imam Ali Khamenei has issued an official fatwa barring the development of this weapon.
These four lies cannot deceive half of the Democratic members of the House of Representatives (Congress), who boycotted the speech, led by the Somali-born champion Ilhan Omar, while 30 Democratic senators (out of nearly 50) did not attend. Furthermore, 63 per cent of Americans believe that Trump failed to meet their economic expectations or goals and did not herald in a golden period, as he said in his speech.
The biggest mistake Trump made, confirming his stupidity and subservience to the dictates of the Israeli occupation state, was his belief that mobilising fleets, aircraft carriers, and hundreds of thousands of soldiers would frighten Iran and force it to surrender to all of his demands. The reverse has been demonstrated in all rounds of discussions, whether the old ones in Vienna (a year and a half) or the new ones in Muscat and Geneva.
All indicators confirm that Iran will resist and defy, regardless of the threats posed by American envoy Steve Witteff and his follower Jared Kushner to the second Geneva meeting, sponsored by Oman, on Thursday and Friday. Perhaps envoy Wittecuff hit the nail on the head and the heart when he said in an interview with Fox Channel that “what perplexes President Trump the most is that the Iranians, despite all these American military mobilisations, did not come ‘kneeling’ to us, asking to sign the surrender.”
We, along with many others, respond to this Trumpian confusion by stating that he is primarily ignorant, lacking knowledge of Iran, its rich heritage, its centuries-long history, and the Islamic world. Secondly, his Israeli allies have ensnared him in a never-ending abyss, from which he will only emerge as a marginalised, humiliated, and defeated figure. Thirdly, he will be rewarded for his deceit and foolishness.
What may change as a result of any imminent American aggression against Iran is the American system led by Trump, not the Iranian system. Just as America defeated Vietnam and Afghanistan and withdrew more than 160,000 soldiers from Iraq to mitigate its losses, the same scenario, if not worse, will be repeated if it proceeds with aggression against Iran.
America has lost the initiative, and the main goal of any upcoming war in Iran is not regime change, as its removal is currently an impossible task, but rather restoring its prestige and its lost military deterrence capability.
The June war last year revealed the weakness and fragility of “Israel,”, the myth of its military superiority in the region, and the decline of American deterrent capabilities. Any upcoming aggression against Iran will likely deepen these realities, and the current escalating state of Israeli confusion is one of the most prominent pieces of evidence.
One of the reasons for the strength of the Iranian leadership behind its resilience is not only the good preparations for war, the development of new weapons, and the import of others from China, Russia, and North Korea, but also reaching a deep, firm conviction that waging a war with Trump is much easier and less costly than abandoning their taboos and sovereignty and giving up their strongest weapon, which is resilience. Making concessions is submission and surrender and a renunciation of Islamic ideology and national sovereignty.
Indeed, Iran prioritises avoiding war, even if it means sacrificing its dignity, its doctrines, the missiles that threaten Tel Aviv, and legitimate uranium enrichment.
We believe that the Iranian leadership will not repeat the mistakes of Libya and Iraq by abandoning its primary source of strength, its weapons, and succumbing to American and Israeli deception. And life is a moment of pride.
