American President Donald Trump, who promised during his election campaign that he would restore America’s power, greatness, and dominance over the entire world, has turned it into a farce and a joke when he postponed, or retreated from, his plans to deliver a “decisive” military strike on Iran that would lead to a fundamental change in its regime, replacing it with the Shah’s regime, or any other regime that would be a “puppet” in Trump ordered the bombers to return immediately while they were in the air and near the Iranian border, because his “mentor,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, called him hours before the strike, knowing that Iran would launch thousands of missiles at the Israeli heartland at the same time, eradicating it.

And, more importantly, the strike will not succeed in changing the regime; rather, the opposite may occur, implying a change in the American regime itself, if thousands of coffins of the dead begin to flow into the United States as a result of Iranian missile strikes on the 55 American bases in the Middle East, where 70,000 American soldiers are stationed.

President Trump’s “thank you” to the Iranian leadership for “stopping” the killing of 800 demonstrators is an unprecedented farce in the history of war. It highlighted the “acrobatic” nature of the world’s most powerful leaders, as well as their shallow political, personal, and strategic levels. Finding appropriate exits for a great power from this crisis was beyond the American president’s mental capabilities and the superficiality of those around him, as his expertise lies solely in real estate brokering, trade, and other undisclosed areas.

President Trump plainly lied when he stated that he did not postpone or back down from this strike due to pressure from some Arab states or Israel. He asserted that he had convinced himself and that no one had persuaded him. The justification was the end of protests and the cancellation of executions, without offering explanations, as the Iranian authorities had successfully stopped them through counter-protests and prudent management.

The real reason that has exposed this emptiness and weakness in the current American administration and stands behind this farce that we are rapidly experiencing these days is that it is the first time an Arab and Islamic country has said a big “no” and reinforced it by relying on its enormous military and popular strength to challenge it, stepping into the field of confrontation without fear or hesitation, and showing no willingness to surrender, submit, or make concessions.

The last-minute cancellation of this American operation was intended to safeguard Israel by eliminating its primary adversary, Iran, and the resistance arms that pose the greatest existential threat to it. The American people have no interest in this. When the Israeli military establishment recognised that the strike would produce counterproductive outcomes, Netanyahu raced to the nearest “security” phone to ask President Trump to stop it immediately, which is exactly what happened.

The false notion that the goal of retreat or postponement is to stop shooting and executing demonstrators marks the peak of fall and avoidance of confrontation. The demonstrators, no matter how many they were, were assassinated by the United States and Israel, who incited them to take to the streets, infiltrated them with thousands of agents, and used satellite internet and smartphones to their advantage.

The greatest Iranian victory, manifested in the resilience and significant penetration of advanced Iranian ballistic missiles during the June War (the 12-day war), which breached all air defences, hit their targets with precision, and destroyed more than half of Greater Tel Aviv, is the true reason for Netanyahu’s “orders” to Trump to stop the aggression and return the bombers immediately.

Another deception is the claim that the Israeli military’s missile and defence system stockpiles were not ready, prompting a request for a postponement. The real reasons behind Israel’s concern can be summarised as follows:
First, the American strike will almost certainly fail to overthrow the Iranian regime unless it is backed by a land invasion akin to what occurred in Afghanistan and Iraq, since the deep American state cannot grant Trump another green light to launch this uncertain end assault.

Second, the Israeli leadership is afraid of incurring significant strategic, economic, and moral military losses as a result of their air defences failing to intercept Iranian missiles and drones, as happened during the June War, which would damage their reputation and end their military superiority in the region.

Third, Israeli military intelligence has confirmed that the Iranian missiles that will respond to this American strike will not differentiate between civilian and military targets, as they have in the previous 12 days, resulting in the deaths of dozens, if not hundreds of thousands, of Israeli settlers.

Fourth, Iran is a nuclear-capable state, and if the war continues, its religious institutions will issue a fatwa prohibiting the production of nuclear weapons based on justified self-defence. All of the components for making these bombs, such as highly enriched uranium, advanced centrifuges, and atomic scientists, are readily available, and they are capable of manufacturing them within a few days, assuming they do not already exist in the depths of the towering mountains. Iran is a continent with an area greater than 75 times that of Israel, and it can resist nuclear attacks, whereas the occupying state cannot withstand a single nuclear assault.
