Time for a Political Reckoning: US Protests for Palestine Shake Ruling Class
Over 300,000 people marched in Washington, DC, on November 4, in the largest Palestine solidarity demonstration in US history. Following the unprecedented demonstration, on November 9th, protestors in over 300 cities protested in unison against pro-Israel corporations and institutions, determined to disrupt the “business as usual” that has led to over 11,000 killed in the Gaza Strip.
Layan Sima Fuleihan, the Education Director at The People’s Forum and an editor at 1804 Books, discusses the rising tide of the Palestine solidarity movement across North America.
“Public consciousness is rapidly changing and the White House has been unable to manufacture a narrative that will keep Israel as the main point of sympathy for the American public.” –
