Kidnapped Gaza Flotilla Activist Speaks Out: ‘We Heard the Torture Every Day’

“We heard the voices of people being tortured and beaten every day.”

Saif Abu Keshek, an activist with the Global Sumud Flotilla, joins Rania Khalek and Zoe Alexandra to recount the severe abuse he endured and witnessed during 10 days in Israeli detention. Captured in international waters — over 700 nautical miles from Gaza — simply for trying to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged strip, Abu Keshek describes the reality of Israeli prison cells, the systematic abuse of Palestinian detainees, and the hunger strike he waged in protest.

Despite the abduction, interrogation, and threats, Abu Keshek reveals why they are not backing down. With another flotilla of 500 activists from 45 countries sailing again, the mission to break the siege on Gaza and deliver life-saving aid continues.

Kidnapped@gbsumudflotilla participant Saif Abu Keshek explains why, despite his torture and detainment by Israel, 500+ activists are sailing BACK to break the siege of Gaza.
