Israel significantly intensified its bombardment in the city of Rafah in Southern Gaza, where currently more than 1.4 million displaced Palestinians are taking refuge. The bombing of Rafah represents Israel’s latest escalation in the ongoing US-backed genocide in Gaza, which has killed over 28,000 Palestinians, including 12,300 children, and injured over 68,000 Palestinians.
Rania and Eugene discuss how people in Rafah are essentially trapped with nowhere else to go, while facing intense bombardment, an impending ground invasion, along with starvation and lack of shelter.
“The Israelis are hoping that by creating these side controversies they can keep people from focusing on the real issue, which is: Israel is conducting this genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip day in and day out and sparing no one, no matter what.” –
