Journalist Exposing Israel’s Crimes Raided by Police for ‘Encouraging Terrorism’

Director of The Electronic Intifada Ali Abunimah joins the show to discuss the UK police raid on his colleague, journalist Asa Winstanley.

Earlier this month, the counterterrorism police unit entered Winstanley’s home and seized his electronics to investigate his social media posts providing commentary on Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Abunimah says they are targeting journalists for exposing Israel’s crimes. “If you say that Palestinians have a right to resist Israel through armed struggle that could be considered a crime under the terrorism act,” explains Abunimah.
