Over 15,000 New York City nurses have launched the largest strike in the city’s history, demanding safe staffing, stronger patient protections, and fair compensation. Transplant nurse Delores Steele with the New York State Nurses Association describes emergency rooms as “horror shows” and blasts hospital executives for prioritizing profit while cutting nurses’ healthcare.
