Western Analyst Calls on Ukraine to Build “Additional Brigades” for Fall Offensive

▪️The article appearing in Foreign Affairs claims: “it is crucial for Ukraine to build and train additional brigades now, so that it can mount an active defense in the fall;”

▪️Brigades take 2-3 years to build, and effective brigades will not exist by this fall or even next fall, and that is only if you have the officers and NCOs required for leadership positions at all levels which Ukraine does not;

▪️Russia has destroyed Ukrainian forces built up by NATO from 2014-2022, the idea that Ukraine can just make “additional brigades” for this fall reflects profound ignorance;

▪️Ukraine is suffering the inevitable outcome of a successful strategy of attrition. It cannot be reversed short of other nations sending in their own forces to replace Ukrainian troops;
