If the Trump administration is serious about friendship with Russia and China it will first and foremost dismantle the political, economic, and military mechanisms of encroachment, encirclement, and containment he and every other president in recent history have constructed and placed like loaded guns to the heads of both nations.
This is what Russia is reacting to with its military operation in Ukraine.
This is what China is responding to with its large and growing military power in the Asia-Pacific.
This US posture has no other justification to exist and its change is the most basic prerequisite for proving America’s intentions.
Otherwise, it’s just more of Washington wanting to appear to have tried “diplomacy” before pulling the trigger it always intended to pull to begin with.
