US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has commented on the US infrastructure spending bill – claiming its significance is rooted in competing with China.

I explain how infrastructure should be looked at first and foremost as a pursuit to improve the lives of people within a country rather than a cynical ploy to compete with a nation’s rivals.
