Russia Deploys “Affordable Mass” Over Battlefield While US Arms Makers Dither
▪️Russia, through its Geran loitering munition program has generated what the US calls “affordable mass” throughout the SMO in Ukraine – manufacturing 1000s of slower Geran-2s, faster jet-powered Geran-4s, and now Geran-5s (in the video), more missile than drone;
▪️Proposed “affordable mass” munitions in the US including the Barracuda missile family developed by Anduril cost more and do less than these Russian counterparts and are not even being produced or used in mass yet;
▪️The secret to Russia’s success is state-owned enterprises manufacturing arms to fulfill the actual purpose of affordable mass where as Anduril and the rest of America’s arms industry exist solely to make profits
