On Reported Use of North Korean Kn-23 Ballistic Missiles

If Russia is actually receiving large numbers of Kn-23 ballistic missiles from North Korea (larger versions of Russia’s own Iskander ballistic missile) it tells us much about the present and possible future of China’s involvement in pushing back against US wars and proxy wars.

1. North Korea is receiving significant economic support from China despite US sanctions making all industry including military industrial production viable;

2. China is providing significant industrial inputs making the production of arms and ammunition going to Russia possible;

3. So far, China is limiting what it is doing to maintain the illusion of plausible deniability and to avoid rapid escalation – imagine what will happen if/when the US crosses the line and China no longer cares who knows how it is boosting the military capabilities of its partners..
