Why’d Zelensky Pull A Page From Putin’s Playbook By Saying That His Enemies “Follow The Devil”?

The only religious pogrom taking place in Europe nowadays isn’t Russia’s supposedly impending one against Jews, but Ukraine’s active crusade against elements of its Orthodox Christian population, which Zelensky justified on the basis of them supposedly “following the devil” despite he himself practicing a different religion and thus obviously not being an expert on theirs. He spewed with impunity what his patrons would regard as bonafide hate speech had anyone else said it simply because he’s the posterchild of the powerful anti-Russian lobby and thus can’t be “canceled”.

The US-led West’s Mainstream Media (MSM) mercilessly mocked Russian President Putin after he declared in late September that his country’s geopolitical opponents are practicing “pure Satanism”, yet they’re completely silent now that Zelensky practically said the exact same thing about his own. The Ukrainian leader pulled a page from his counterpart’s playbook in a separate speech on 31 December made before his actual New Year’s address to accuse his foes of “following the devil.”

Rhetorically speaking, there’s no difference between what they said. Only upon reviewing the full context of each figure’s near-identical claims about their opponents can one obtain a better understanding of exactly what they meant and thus discern which of them is actually deserving of condemnation. Here’s the background behind President Putin’s reference to “pure Satanism”:

“Let me repeat that the dictatorship of the Western elites targets all societies, including the citizens of Western countries themselves. This is a challenge to all. This complete renunciation of what it means to be human, the overthrow of faith and traditional values, and the suppression of freedom are coming to resemble a ‘religion in reverse; – pure Satanism. Exposing false messiahs, Jesus Christ said in the Sermon on the Mount: ‘By their fruits ye shall know them.’ These poisonous fruits are already obvious to people, and not only in our country but also in all countries, including many people in the West itself.”

By contrast, here’s why Zelensky said that his opponents are “following the devil”:

“Several missile attack waves on New Year’s Day. Missiles against people. It’s against the people. NONhumans did it, NONhumans will lose. And you and I know it. Terrorists cannot change it. At Easter, they made such attacks, at Christmas, at New Year… They call themselves Christians, they are very proud of their Orthodoxy. But they are following the devil. They support him and are together with him.”

As can be seen, President Putin’s claim was predicated on the objective observation that the Western elites are aggressively seeking to impose their radical socio-cultural agenda upon the rest of humanity at the expense of religiously influenced traditional values, ergo his description of them as practicing “pure Satanism”. For as dramatic as his rhetoric may appear to some, there’s an inherent logic contained therein that conforms to his worldview, which is also shared by billions of people across the world.

Zelensky’s claim, however, was just an emotional reaction to Russia’s latest strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure that its armed forces determined played a role in facilitating their opponent’s aggression. He went overboard though by literally dehumanizing them as so-called “NONhumans”, after which he violated one of the most sacred tenets of his Western patrons’ “politically correct” dogma by presenting himself as the premier expert on a religion that he doesn’t follow.

The US-led West’s Golden Billion would have erupted in furor had President Putin presented himself as the premier expert on Judaism in order to publicly claim that not only isn’t Zelensky a real Jew, but that he’s actually supposedly “following the devil.” The same reaction could have been expected had a Christian Trump supporter said the same about someone from a different religion, whether Jewish or Muslim for instance. According to their “politically correct” dogma, that’s bonafide hate speech.

Zelensky gets a pass not because of anything pertaining to his ethno-religious identity, but because he’s simply the posterchild of the powerful anti-Russian lobby that allegedly can’t do any wrong according to the MSM’s “official narrative”. Moreover, his regime’s informally declared War on Orthodoxy completely contradicts the Golden Billion’s superficial support for religious plurality, hence the need to “justify” it on faux “national security” pretexts.

To that end, Zelensky’s conspiracy theory that some proud Orthodox Christians (particularly ethnic Russians as well as those Ukrainians who follow the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate that’s formally subordinated to the Russian Orthodox Church) are secretly “following the devil” serves to explain to the Western public why they supposedly “deserve” to be actively suppressed.

This literal witch hunt that’s presently ongoing and continually escalating in intensity is the thematical manifestation of everything that the MSM started recently fearmongering that Russia is allegedly about to do to its Jewish population. Former Russian chief rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt ridiculously shared his unrealistic prediction about a supposedly impending pogrom that was subsequently amplified by Business InsiderThe Guardian, and The Times Of Israel, et al.

These same MSM outlets and others conspicuously ignore Zelensky’s informally declared War on Orthodoxy, which by default discredits their de facto New Cold War bloc’s claim of supporting religious plurality. Those double standards in their reporting, including these perception management platforms’ silence in the face of Zelensky accusing his opponents of “following the devil” despite mercilessly mocking President Putin for rhetorically claiming the same about his own, speak volumes.

The only religious pogrom taking place in Europe nowadays is Ukraine’s crusade against elements of its Orthodox Christian population, which Zelensky justified on the basis of them supposedly “following the devil” despite he himself practicing a different religion and thus obviously not being an expert on theirs. He spewed with impunity what his patrons would regard as bonafide hate speech had anyone else said it simply because he’s the posterchild of the powerful anti-Russian lobby and thus can’t be “canceled”.

President Putin, meanwhile, is such a passionate philo-Semite despite being an Orthodox Christian that he was invited to speak at the famous Zionist lobbying organization Keren Heyesod’s annual gathering in 2019 that happened to take place in Moscow that year. In January 2020, Israel invited him to participate in the “Remembering The Holocaust: Fighting Anti-Semitism” forum, while former Prime Minister Bennett praised him in October 2021 as “a very close and true friend of the State of Israel.”

These objectively existing facts that debunk the weaponized disinformation falsely fearmongering about a supposedly impending anti-Jewish pogrom in Russia are totally ignored by the MSM in pursuit of their narrative agenda just like they ignore Zelensky’s anti-Orthodox crusade and him pulling a page from President Putin’s playbook by declaring that his enemies are “following the devil.” Readers don’t have to be religious to consider these manipulative practices to be the embodiment of pure evil.
