US vs China: Can Washington Compete with One Belt, One Road?

The US – alongside other G7 partners – has recently announced its “Build Back Better World” or B3W initiative, touting it as the West’s answer to China’s One Belt, One Road initiative and the building of global infrastructure.

Upon closer examination it is clear that B3W is just a rebranding behind which continued US efforts aim at blocking – not building infrastructure around the globe.
