For those who thought the Trump admin “closed down” the National Endowment for Democracy (NED)…
Here is a jobs listing from just a month ago…

It is for “East Asia/Multiregional Grants” and claims:
“In 2025 [the year Trump supposedly closed NED], NED made 1,552 grants totaling $271 million to support the work of nongovernmental organizations advancing democratic goals in more than 90 countries…”
Then toward the bottom under “Qualifications” it says:
“Chinese or Korean language proficiency desired.”
Obviously because by “supporting freedom around the world” the NED means, freedom for Wall Street to do what it wants – mainly by removing governments that refuse to be subordinated – and in East Asia that is primarily China and North Korea.
