Trump’s SAVE Act: If You Can’t Cancel the Election, Cancel the Voters

Cliff Albright, co-founder and executive director of Black Voters Matter, discusses the Trump-backed SAVE Act currently being debated by Congress, warning it is “nothing but voter suppression” that could disenfranchise millions.

He explains how the legislation disproportionately targets Black, brown, and marginalized communities while creating chaos and fear to undermine democratic participation, cautioning, “One way of canceling an election is simply by canceling everybody who’s got the ability to vote, and that’s what’s being set up with this.”
