Israel’s Strike on Qatar Could Change the Middle East Forever

Giorgio Cafiero, the CEO of Gulf State Analytics, joins the show to discuss Israel’s bombing of Hamas negotiators in Doha, Qatar, as they gathered to discuss Trump’s “ceasefire” proposal.

Qatar, which hosts the US military’s Central Command, condemned the Israeli strike, but has not yet militarily responded. Cafiero discusses the unprecedented Israeli attack on a regional US security partner, the dubious chances for ceasefire talks and the threat of greater regional war.

The Persian Gulf was always “off limits” to Israeli aggression.

“Now, the GCC can’t look at the US the same way,” says analyst @GiorgioCafiero.

They may try to become “more autonomous from Washington.”
