Why Kamala Harris Could Fail to Win Black Voters
The Harris-Walz campaign recently unveiled its “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men,” to court Black men voters at a time when the Democrats are losing their support. “The agenda does not reflect the needs of the Black community,” says Lawrence Grandpre, Director of Research at Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle.
Grandpre argues that this and the DNC’s other superficial attempts to win over Black voters will ultimately fail. “Given the conditions in our communities, it’s hard for working-class Black people to connect with what the Democratic Party is offering.”
Kamala Harris’s ‘Opportunity Agenda for Black Men’ is out of touch with the issues facing working-class Black voters. It’s hard for them “to deeply connect to what the Democratic party is offering,” says @Ne0Nubian
