The Mecca Pact – the Saudi war against Yemen and the Turkish, Pakistani role

I had the privilege to have another conversation with Iranian analyst Ehsan Safarnejad covering the Mecca Pact in relation to the Saudi ongoing aggression against Yemen. We covered the recent AnsarAllah advances in Yemen, taking control of coastal areas and islands in the Red Sea, reducing Israeli surveillance and airforce capability in the region. Yemen is consolidating control over the Red Sea and most importantly, the Bab El Mandeb strait which enables them to blockade a crucial maritime corridor, targeting Israeli and Saudi alliance vessels.

Turkey is sending proxy Takfiri forces from Syria to Saudi Arabia to assist the Saudi troops. Pakistan has historically supplied Saudi Arabia with their military manpower. Both countries are keen to protect their interests in the region while any military operation is bankrolled by the Saudis.
